Botanical Garden craft show Saturday

Shirley Schaecher began setting up for the annual March Craft Show taking place at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens Saturday.

The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens will have its annual spring craft show Saturday in the library at the Children’s Center.

The show will feature 10 booths of handmade items such as gardening decorations, jewelry and handmade art. There will also be a bake sale and special discounts within the garden’s gift shop.

“We’re just going to have all kinds of stuff,” said Shirley Schaecher, office and gift shop manager.

Schaecher said this was always a popular event for the gardens “because people have cabin fever, are ready to shop, and see all the new spring things.”

The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission to the fair is free, however this does not include access into the butterfly house and gardens. Those admission fees still apply. Cost is $5 per adult, $3 students, seniors, and children over the age of 3.
