6 arrested after I-70 stop


Six people were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of immigration violations and obstruction of a peace officer after the Arizona van they were in was pulled over at mile marker 10 on eastbound Interstate 70, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The six people arrested were Veronica Aguilar-Dominguez, 35, Norma Bello-Guerrero, 30, Alberto Bolas-Flores, 35, Adrian Garcia-Corona, 39, Julio Olvera-Fuerte, 35, and Felipe Sanchez-Jaramillo, 26.

Bolas-Flores also was charged on suspicion of following too closely, which the State Patrol said was the reason the van was pulled over.

Liquor store break-in


A burglary was reported Oct. 1 at Uintah Liquor Store, 1022 U.S. Highway 6&50. The store was broken into, but no more information was available because of an ongoing investigation, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Jornai Lyn Snodgrass, 20, 3213 3 Road, Clifton, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools and theft of three caps and a bracelet, valued at less than $500, from The Buckle at Mesa Mall, 2424 U.S. Highway 6&50.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Michael Harry Balentine, 48, 1334 Colorado Ave., was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

■ Travis Minter, 44, 2853 North Ave., was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and failure to drive in a single lane.

■ Michael Angel Romero, 40, 547 Willow Road, was arrested Wednesday possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Mark A. Evans, 24, Montrose, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was named on two warrants.

■ Suspected child abuse was reported Tuesday in the 14400 block of 6360 Road.

■ Deputies assisted Colorado Parks and Wildlife on Tuesday with an injured deer in the 57500 block of Spring Creek Road.
