• The Century House Restaurant in Palisade is now open from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The restaurant is at 349 W. Eight St. next to the Packing Shed Restaurant. It serves steak, seafood, prime rib and other entrees.

• Jude Sirota, Mesa County weed manager, has received the Pacesetter Award from the Colorado Weed Management Association. Sirota was recognized for her weed awareness program in Mesa County.

• Drexel, Barrell and Co. has been hired by Mesa County to design the new Colorado River Pump Station near Grand Junction. The new station will take irrigation water to the Orchard Mesa Irrigation District.
The consulting engineering firm will also provide the innovative design and construction of new roundabouts in the Steamboat Base Area Redevelopment.
