• Bray Real Estate recognized its top broker associates for their 2008 sales achievements.
Christi Reece was the top producer in residential sales.
Debbie Hampton, Craig Huckaby and Connie Whalen were named the top team in residential sales.
The top producers include Cyrie Wortman, Fruita; Sam Suplizio, commercial; The Renfrow Team, Montrose; and J.B. Van Teylingen, Rifle.
Joe Oliverson was recognized as a rising star in Grand Junction and Theresa Nelson is a rising star in Rifle.
• Barnes & Noble gave 500 books from their holiday book drive to Hilltop’s Child and Family Center. The books will be given to low-income families.
• Dr. Blake Fenton of Brady Chiropractic Group will be collecting teddy bears in the month of February for local police and sheriff’s officers to be given to needy children. New patients that donate a bear will receive their first visit free of charge. For information, call 242-8162.
• The Seattle’s Best Coffee, located in the Borders Bookstore, will celebrate National Hot Tea Month by giving complimentary tea latte samples from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
