Farm forum in Montrose on Jan. 10

If you’re a small-acreage farmer or livestock producer, or are interested in becoming one, plan to attend the inaugural Western Colorado Food and Farm Forum happening Jan. 10, at the Montrose County Fairgrounds Friendship Hall, in Montrose.

The forum will focus on sustainably improving the production, marketing and consumption of locally grown food products. It is organized into three primary tracks — crops, livestock and business management. Participants can choose workshops from the three tracks for each of six breakout sessions.

The conference is designed to allow time for networking and gathering resources from participating vendors.

Call Carol Parker at 209-7712 or Susan Bony at 209-3343 for information.
