Caprock applications due by Thursday

•  Open enrollment for the kindergarten 2009–10 school year at Caprock Academy will continue until Thursday at 640 24 1/2 Road.
Completed enrollment packets will be accepted from 8 a.m. to
3:30 p.m. The lottery, open to the public, will be at 4 p.m. March 3 at the school.

Chili’s to give back to Partners

•  Chili’s Give Back Night, to benefit Mesa County Partners, will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Chili’s, 584 24 1/2 Road, by Mesa Mall.

Free food for area high schoolers

•  Chipotle Mexican Grill, 2504 U.S. Highway 6&50, will give away free food to area high school students, teachers and staff.
Students at Grand Junction High School and R-5 High School can receive free food from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Fruita Monument High School students will receive free food from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Free days for students at Central and Palisade high schools will be in March.
During each free night, students, staff and teachers who show their school ID will get a free burrito, tacos, salad or burrito bowl.
