Evangelism seminar starts Thursday

• The Western Slope Seminar on evangelism, “What is the Gospel?” will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Elm Avenue Baptist Church, 1510 N. 17th St. The conference will include guest speakers Pastor Randall Easter, Dr. Nathan Berry and Pastor Nate Holt. For information, call 243-8541.

Class offered for women, children

• An interdenominational Bible study class for women and children takes place from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. each Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, 3940 Road 27 1/2. For information, call 245-4908.

Women’s Connection sets luncheon

• The Grand Junction Christian Women’s Connection will have its monthly luncheon at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at Two Rivers Convention Center. Special presenter will be quilting artist Ruby Davis. Guest speaker will be Kelly Evans, and special music will be provided by Carolyn Kendrick. Reservations must be made by Monday. Child care is free. For information, call 245-9799.

Unitarians schedule service Sunday

• Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley will have a sermon titled “Water Ceremony and Teacher Dedication” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday The sermon will be given by the Rev. Zakir Lawrence Henson.
