Willow Pond B&B to host classical guitarist

Classical guitarist and 2006 Mesa State College music graduate Javier de los Santos is playing an intimate concert at Willow Pond Bed & Breakfast on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The concert will feature pieces by Bach and Tarrega.

De los Santos began his music studies in 1998 under Francisco Javier Muro Guevara at the Unidad Academica de Musica in Zacatecas, Mexico.

Currently, de los Santos is pursuing a master’s degree in guitar performance at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. He splits his time between Denver and Grand Junction.

The bed and breakfast has monthly musical house concerts and sells paintings, ceramics, photography and homemade crafts by local artists.

The Ernesto Tamayo concert originally scheduled for Jan. 20, at the bed and breakfast has been canceled as well as Tamayo’s planned master class at Mesa State.
