T Party set for Gateway
While jets will fly over Grand Junction for the air show, the Ford Model T’s will roll in Gateway for The T Party.
The T Party: Model T Centennial Celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, with a wine and cheese reception, a lecture from Dick Rubens, director of the Model T Automotive Heritage Complex, and a documentary shown at the Gateway Colorado Auto Museum. Cost is $15.
Events on Saturday, Sept. 27, include another lecture from Rubens, a documentary showing, tea and crumpets and a tour at Hendricks Ranch. The day fee is $100.
A Quilt and Antique Show joins the party on Sunday, Sept. 28. That day features lectures by Rubens and Preston Patterson, Gateway Auto Museum curator, more films, an early 1990s Museum of the West display and a car care demonstration. Cost is $12.
