Briefs: OA Radio Room hosts December 12, 2008

Radio Room hosts wicked humor of 'Santaland Diaries’ for brief run

If Christmas isn’t all gooey gumdrops to you, then the wicked humor of the one-man play “The Santaland Diaries” written by David Sedaris’ and performed by Jim Garland with Two Chairs Theater Company is for you.

The stage performance, adapted by Joe Mantello, has a brief stint in Grand Junction from Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 17–20, at 7:30 p.m. in the KAFM Radio Room, 1310 Ute Ave.

In the play, a disgruntled elf with Macy’s recounts disturbing tales from behind the scenes of the department store’s SantaLand — everything isn’t snowy and wonderful.

Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for seniors. To reserve tickets, call 263-7920. Box office hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
