Bundle up: It’s Parade of Lights time in GJ

Long underwear, two (or more) pairs of socks, fur-lined boots, wool mittens, knit scarf, fuzzy earmuffs and a heavy winter parka over a sweater and a hoodie ...

Whether you’re heading off to a vacation to Siberia or getting dressed for the annual Parade of Lights on Main Street, it’s best to be prepared for frigid weather. The parade and accompanying Winter Festival are set for Saturday, Dec. 4.

The 27th annual festival, which includes nonprofit organizations offering hot drinks and goodies for sale, begins at 1 p.m. and continues through the Parade of Lights that begins at 5 p.m.

This theme of this year’s parade is Candyland and the more than 100 lighted entries will make their way down Main Street traveling east from First Street to Seventh Street.
