Cellist, pianist to play two shows for Western Slope Concert Series

Gabe Mientka, a cellist from Grand Junction who has been studying in Europe, and Anca Lupu, a Romanian pianist from, plan two concerts as part of the Western Slope Concert Series.

Mientka and Lupu will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the American Lutheran Church and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Blue Sage Center in Paonia.

The program will include solo and duo works from composers known for their works about romance.

Tickets for adults are $15 in advance or $18 at the door. Tickets are $10 for students. Tickets are available at Roper Music in Grand Junction, Paonia Farm and Home and Hardin’s Natural Foods in Hotchkiss and at http://www.JunctionConcerts.com.
