Clifton man accused of molesting girl, photographing assault
A 38-year-old Clifton man was arrested Tuesday after sending a Web camera, with instructions to send back naked images, to an out-of-state, undercover police officer who was operating a child-predator sting.
Robert Arthur Brewster included his return address and the initials RAB on a package containing the camera that he sent to a Kenton County, Ky., detective who was posing online as a 13-year-old girl, according to an arrest affidavit.
Brewster is facing a felony charge of sexual assault on a child for allegedly sending the officer photos of himself molesting a girl while she is sleeping.
Over the course of a couple weeks in March, Brewster sent the undercover officer more than 250 sexually explicit images, some of them involving young girls between the ages of 6 and 12 years old, the affidavit said.
One series of photos showed a man’s tattooed left arm molesting a girl. The tattoos in the photos matched those on Brewster’s left arm, the affidavit said.
During the online chats, Brewster told the officer posing as a girl that Brewster purchased a Web camera for her and wanted her to send back images of her genitalia.
While authorities executed a federal search warrant at the home, Brewster was at the home and admitted taking pictures of the girl as she was sleeping, the affidavit said.
He also admitted having online contact with a person sharing the same Yahoo! identification that the officer was using, the affidavit said.
