Club 20 sets lineup for leadership conference

A GE Healthcare executive, a former head of the Colorado Democratic Party and a former justice of the Colorado Supreme Court headline a list of speakers for Club 20’s leadership conference in May.

Retired Rear Adm. Arnold Lotring, who now heads GE Healthcare’s global services training and education group, is the guest speaker for the event.

Another former Navy officer, Mary Kelly, will deliver the keynote address at the conference. Kelly holds master’s degrees in history and economics and a doctorate in economics and will speak about “360 Degrees of Leadership” on May 3, the opening day of the conference.

Lotring will speak at the opening of the second day of the conference, May 4.

Other speakers include Buie Seawell, former chairman of the Colorado Democratic Party, who will discuss “Fundamentals of Leadership” on May 4 with John Armstrong, president and CEO of Enserca Engineering.

Rebecca Love Kourlis, a former Colorado Supreme Court justice and the executive director of the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System, will discuss “Things to know before going into elected office,” as well as “Ethics in Leadership” on May 4.

Other speakers include former U.S. Rep. Scott McInnis, R-Colo., Colorado Northwestern Community College President Russell George and Jon Peacock, a former Mesa County administrator.

The conference, the first for Club 20, will be conducted at the Courtyard by Marriott, 765 Horizon Drive.

The conference cost is $135 for members of Club 20 and $150 for nonmembers.
