All of the faculty members of Colorado Mesa University’s music department will take the stage to perform a mix of solos and ensembles in the department’s inaugural performance for the upcoming school year.

The Music Faculty Gala will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in the Recital Hall of the Moss Performing Arts Center. A catered reception will follow the concert.

The university’s newest faculty member is soprano Kathleen Ruhleder, who moved to Grand Junction from Chandler, Ariz., where she taught voice at Glendale Community College.

Ruhleder received her doctorate in vocal performance and master’s degree in music from Arizona State University.

Tickets to see Ruhleder and other faculty members perform are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students. Tickets are available at the university’s box office at 248-1604.
