Colo. flags to be flown at half staff for soldier

DENVER — Gov. Bill Ritter has ordered flags to be lowered to half staff on state and federal buildings in honor of Army Sgt. Justin Officer, who died in Afghanistan.

The flags will be lowered today, the day of the funeral for the 26-year-old Colorado Springs man.

Officer was killed Sept. 29 in the Kandahar Province.
