Colorado National Monument meeting set
Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., will host a listening session later this month in Grand Junction on whether to change Colorado National Monument to a national park.
Udall, who last year voiced interest in the idea, set the meeting to gather comment on the proposal, which supporters said would provide an economic shot in the arm for the Grand Valley economy.
The public meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in the ballroom of the Maverick Student Center at Mesa State College.
