Colorado senator counseling homeowners

DENVER — Not sure where to go for help on a mortgage? Try calling Colorado’s freshman senator.

Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet planned to take to the phones Monday at the Colorado Foreclosure Prevention Hotline.

Bennet planned to answer calls from homeowners facing foreclosure. Bennet was also meeting with phone bank counselors and a small business owner helped by the program.

The hot line is funded by state government. To call, dial 1-877-601-HOPE.
