Conservative Alliance to hold rally Friday

A rally on the third anniversary of the tea party movement will take place Friday in Sherwood Park.

The Western Slope Conservative Alliance Freedom Rally will feature Ryan Frazier, a former Aurora City Council member who spoke at the first event in Lincoln Park, as well as former Republican Congressman Tom Tancredo, who ran for governor last year as a third-party candidate, garnering more votes than the Republican nominee.

Tancredo has since returned to the GOP, and Frazier, now the CEO of Western Skies Forum, is considering a bid to be mayor of Aurora after he was defeated last year in a bid for Congress.

The rally is to be a family event honoring veterans and freedom, the association said.

The rally will include food, music, local entertainment and other speakers, the alliance said. The event will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
