Contractor seeks workers for Delta beltway project



Hamon Contractors, the general contractor for Delta’s Confluence Drive project, is hosting a job fair Friday.

The event is from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, 530 Gunnison River Drive in Delta.

Construction on the 1.6-mile beltway is slated to begin at the beginning of next year and continue for a year to 15 months.

The company is seeking the following workers:

■ Bridge carpenters with experience;

■ Heavy highway equipment operators who are proficient with line and grade control;

■ Crane operators with experience;

■ Pipe laborers with experience;

■ Fuelers with a current hazardous material commercial driver’s license;

■ General laborers;

■ Truck drivers with a current commercial driver’s license; and

■ Flaggers with Traffic Control Supervisor certification are preferred.
