Cops seek two armed Burger King robbers

Grand Junction police are looking for two suspects who robbed an Orchard Mesa fast-food restaurant Thursday night.

The robbers, both believed to be male and both wearing masks or bandannas and dark clothing, accosted employees at the Burger King restaurant, 2752 U.S. Highway 50.

One of the robbers had a handgun, and the other had a knife, Grand Junction Police Department spokeswoman Kate Porras said.

A witness said the robbers entered the restaurant at 11:05 p.m. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and the robbers fled in an unknown direction, Porras said.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators need help from the public to identify the robbers, Porras said.

Anyone who saw anything or anyone that was suspicious in the area near the Burger King is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 241-STOP.
