County to lease space from hospital for medical clinic

Mesa County commissioners unanimously approved an agreement Monday to lease space from Community Hospital for the county’s soon-to-open employee medical clinic.

The county will pay the hospital nearly $17,500 to lease space and equipment in a 1,076-square-foot office at 1060 Orchard Ave.

The office will be used by Novia CareClinics LLC, an Indiana-based company the county retained to provide medical services, lab work and prescription drugs for the 1,300 county employees and family members enrolled in the county’s optional health plan. The contract covers the cost of operating the office through the end of next year.
