Crawford woman killed in crash

A Crawford woman was killed Thursday after she was thrown from her sport utility vehicle in a rollover accident.

Carol Lyn Lang, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, the Colorado State Patrol said.

Lang was driving west on Colorado Highway 92 between Hotchkiss and Crawford in a 1998 Geo Tracker when the vehicle went off the right side of the road around 9:45 a.m. The SUV overcorrected, crossed into the eastbound lanes and rolled, according to the State Patrol.

It didn’t appear from the accident report that Lang was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol and drugs were not suspected as factors in the accident.
