Mayme K. Abseck, 97, Paonia, died April 24, 2012, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Paonia.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy L. Livingston and Jody A. Gentzler, both of Paonia; one sister, Teresa Barnet of Santa Cruz, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Archie Carver, 94, Fruita, died April 21, 2012, at Family Health West.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Martin Mortuary. No services are planned.

Mr. Carver was a mining engineer.

Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Hines of Grand Junction.

Donald G. Jackett, 74, died April 19, 2012, at Montrose Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church in Rifle, followed by a luncheon at Saint Mary’s Parish in Rifle.

Survivors include one son, Jim of Montrose; two daughters, Julie Burner of Rifle and Pam Hutton of Silt; and nine grandchildren.

John Carl Madonian, 93, Grand Junction, died April 21, 2012, at Hospice Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Madonian was a tool-and-die maker.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; one son, Richard J. of Grand Junction; one daughter, Diane L. Tolle of Grand Junction; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Henry Patrick McIntyre, 79, Grand Junction, died April 22, 2012, in Grand Junction.

Services will be private.

Mr. McIntyre was a volunteer in the Civil Air Patrol and a traffic control officer.

Survivors include his wife, Janis; two sons, Marc of Smyrna, Ga., and Sean of Marietta, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Coleen R. McWilliams, 72, Grand Junction, died April 23, 2012, at her home.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Survivors include two brothers, Bud Duffy of Meeker and Kenneth Duffy of Grand Junction; one sister, Lenis Horn of Grand Junction; and one grandchild.

Betty Jean Murch, 77, Fruita, died April 23, 2012, at Hospice Care Center.

Ms. Murch was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Jon Murch of Glade Park, Jeff Murch of Fruita and Dan Benson of Grand Junction; two daughters, Teresa Fowler and Stacy Arnold, both of Fruita; one brother,  Don Norris of Olympia, Wash.; one sister, Carol Benson of San Diego, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Vernon Sides, 85, Delta, died April 22, 2012, at his home.

Services will be private.

Survivors include two stepsons ,Tom Christian and Robert Lightener; two stepdaughters, Kyrlene Carter and Diane Pfifer; three sisters, Gwen Langland, Eleanor Gendill, and Vicki Lee; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Richard “Dick” Thornton, 87, Grand Junction, died April 22, 2012, at Mesa Manor.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Thornton was an electrician.

Survivors include three sons, David of Grand Junction, Daniel of St. George, Utah, and Richard of Delta; one daughter, Margaret Ceballos of Sacramento, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Alvin Roger “Ace” Winter, 87, Rifle, died April 21, 2012, at the Veterans Affairs Nursing Home in Rifle.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rifle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, followed by burial at Battlement Mesa Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys; one daughter, MaryAnn;  one brother, Jake Winter; one sister, Ann Patterson; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
