Carole Gardner, 69, Grand Junction, died April 2, 2014, at her residence.

No services are planned.

Ms. Gardner was a nurse.

Survivors include her husband, Ervin Shinskey of Grand Junction; one son, Austin Faria of San Diego, three daughters, Cathy Gardner of Taylorsville, Utah, Alexis Faria of Grand Junction and Ashley Faria of Yuma, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Sybil Reynolds Helton, 88, Palisade, died April 5, 2014, at Palisades Living Center.

Arrangements are pending with Palisade Funeral Home.

Ms. Helton was a U.S. government employee.

Survivors include one son, Don Huddleston of Clifton; one daughter, Doris Duran of Grand Junction; and six grandchildren.

Dieta (Dickie) Mae Martin, 74, Grand Junction, died April 8, 2014, at Mesa Manor Nursing Home.

No services are planned.

Ms. Martin was a homemaker and worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 14 years.

Survivors include one son, Dean Pasqueletto of Grand Junction; one daughter, Kari Howard-Wilson of Denver; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Lydia D. Perez, 18, Fruita, died April 5, 2014, in Fruita.

A memorial mass is 10 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita.

Ms. Perez was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Yanna Perez of Fruita; parents, Jason Perez and Kimberley Garcia, both of Fruita; three brothers, Christopher Perez of Fruita, Albert Acuna and Michael Acuna, both of Glendale, Ariz.; and three sisters, Jasmin Perez and Angel Garcia, both of Fruita, and Araya Lash of Grand Junction.

Dan Shinskey, 76, Grand Junction, died April 4, 2014, at his residence.

No services are planned.

Mr. Shinskey was an HVAC technician.

Survivors include two sons, Michael L. of Farmington, N.M., and Todd D. of Bangkok, Thailand; one daughter, Laura J. Hart of Phoenix; two grandchildren; and one great-granchild.

Laura P. Walls, 90, Grand Junction, died April 4, 2014, at home.

A graveside service is 2:30 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Ms. Walls was a volunteer at HopeWest and the Veterans Affairs Medial Center.

Survivors include two sons, Lorrie of Fort Collins and Cal of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two daughters, Leslie of Yampa and Claudia of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest Hospice, 3090B N. 12th St., Grand Junction 81506.

Kenneth R. Weimer, 86, Grand Junction, died April 6, 2014, at LaVilla Grande Care Center.

A service is 1 p.m., Thursday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Weimer was a farmer.

Survivors include one sister, Louise Dickenson of Grand Junction.

Eleanor L. Williams, 90, Cedaredge, died April 2, 2014, at her home.

No services are planned at this time.

Survivors include her husband, Orville; two sons, Steven of San Francisco and Dan of Cedaredge; one daughter, JoAnne O’Fallon of Grand Junction; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
