■ Philip T. Hayes, 89, Grand Junction, died July 30, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital. No services are planned at this time.
Mr. Hayes was a geologist.
He is survived by his wife, Karin; one son, Richard of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

■ Dean M. Howell, 79, Grand Junction, died July 29, 2012, at his residence. A private, family service has been held.
Mr. Howell was a retired investment bond trader.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one son, Randy, of Larkspur; one daughter, Lori Stanley of Strasburg; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

■ Former Paonia resident Dwyla Jean Minerich, 86, Fort Mill, S.C., died July 24, 2012, at her home. Services are pending.
Minerich is survived by her daughter, Sandi Coutts of Fort Mill and Hotchkiss.
■ Deborah DeLaine Morrow, 58, Grand Junction, died July 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Burial will take place in Red Cloud, Neb.
She is survived by her parents, Ernest Dean and Lois DeLaine, both of Grand Junction; and a brother, Bradford of New York City.
■ Joy L. Stone, 84, Grand Junction, died July 30, 2012, at Mesa Manor Care Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; one son, Jack, of Gladstone, Ore.; two daughters, Beth Roberts of Tucson, Ariz., and Jeanne Renck of Beulah; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

■ Connie Utter, 85, Grand Junction, died July 30, 2012, at her home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the mausoleum at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with a graveside service to follow after visitation.
She is survived by two sons, Jim of Palisade and Kenny of Wahiawa, Hawaii; two daughters, June Utter of Port Deposit, Md., and Sue Cormack of Aberdeen, Md.; one sister, Setsuko Iimuro of Hamamatsu, Japan; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
■ Joseph J. Weber, 84, Delta, died July 27, 2012, at his home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Vi; one son, Gene; one daughter, Saundra January; three brothers, Paul, Sam and John; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
