D. Marie Branson, 91, Grand Junction, died Aug. 9, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grand Junction Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Jerry of Lakeside, Calif.; four daughters, Barbara Peterson of Moab, Utah, Rosa Eller of Cushing, Okla., Kaylee Melendy of Palisade and Nina Monger of Montrose; one sister, Rose Branson of Grand Junction; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

John Cornett, 68, Collbran, died Aug. 8, 2013, at his home.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Collbran Congregational Church.

He was a mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Becky; three sons, Sean, Stephen and Jeremiah, all of Grand Junction; one brother, Bill of Orange, Calif.; one sister, Clara Cornett of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.

Brian P. Mathews, 33, Grand Junction, died Aug. 8, 2013, at his home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

Survivors include his wife, Leah; his parents, Verlyn and Theresa of Grand Junction; and thre brothers, Doug Mathews of Grand Junction and Mark Shipp and Allen Shipp, both of Texas.

Mary Alice Whistler, 88, Grand Junction, died Aug. 9, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.

Services have taken place.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Y.; two sons, Michael of Grand Junction and Stephen of Chicago; two daughters, Lenette Nance of Fort Worth, Texas, and Cynthia Bickler of Waukesha, Wash.; one sister, Anna Morgan of Novelty, Ohio; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

■  Marie Louise Yeager, 89, Grand Junction, died July 17, 2013, at Family Health West.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Unity Church, followed by a potluck.

Ms. Yeager was a healer and teacher.

Survivors include one son, Peter, two daughters, Patricia Vary and Jodie MacTavish, and five grandchildren.
