■ Carol A. Basford, 87, Paonia, died Aug. 17, 2012 in Paonia.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gunnison Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth of Grand Junction, two daughters, Terry Oberosler of Gunnison and Judy Sandifer of Paonia; one brother, Marvin Starbuck of Vicksburg, Miss.; one sister, Lois Funk of Gunnison; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

■  Leota M. Dessert, 78, Fruita, died Aug. 25, 2012, at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Monument Valley Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Grand Junction.

Ms. Dessert was a school bus driver.

Survivors include three sons, Michael of Spokane, Wash., David and Wayne, both of Grand Junction; one daughter, Janet Lenahan of Fruita; one brother, Melvin Pearce of Oregon; two sisters, Pauline Cole of Arizona and Carolyn Williams of Reno, Nev.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

■  Ruth King, 89, Grand Junction, died Aug. 28, 2012, at her home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Rangely, with inurnment at Rangely Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Darrell of Grand Junction; two daughters, Fran Piland of Grand Junction and Laura Martin of Rifle; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

■  Carol A. Reiff, 72, Grand Junction, died Aug. 27, 2012, at LaVilla Grande Care Center.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Ms. Reiff was a cashier.

Survivors include two sons, Kriss of Grand Junction and Karl of Italy; and one daughter, Kara Rhoads of Byron, Ill.

■  Betty Salatino, 90, Grand Junction, died Aug. 23, 2012, at Mantey Heights Rehabilitation Center.

Ms. Salatino was an administrative assistant.

Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with inurnment to follow.

Survivors include one brother, Sam Salatino of Grand Junction.

■  Lois Marie Williams Hurd Splittstoesser, 88, Delta, died Aug. 26, 2012, at Paonia Care Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Paonia Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Delta City Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mara Armour of Cory; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

■  Linda Lee Williams, 58, Paradox, died Aug. 26, 2012, at her home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Paradox Community Center, with services at 11 a.m. at the center. Burial will follow at Paradox Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, David of Paradox; one son, James of Bedrock; two daughters, Christina Bird of Bedrock and Cheri Bichon of Glenwood Springs; one brother, Bill Calhoun of Redvale; three sisters, Fay Hannigan of Delta, Lorna Anderson of Eckert and Sandy Robuck of Montrose; and eight grandchildren.
