■ Wendi Whitlatch Blake Bearden, 50, Grand Junction, died July 27, 2014, at her residence. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2235 Kingston Road.
Mrs. Bearden was administrative assistant.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; one son, Brandon of Redstone; five daughters, Aaliyah Bearden and Piper Bearden, both of Denver, Kendra Moore of Thornton; Brigett Bearden of Gunnison and Kacie Sandstedt of Grand Junction; her parents, Rex and Nancy Whitlach of Grand Junction; one brother, Curtis of Wimberley, Texas; one sister, Christi Bocconcelli of Grand Junction; and two grandchildren.

■ James W. “Bill” Grant, 96, Grand Junction, died Aug. 5, 2014, at Mantey Heights Care Center. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
He is survived by three sons, Riley of Aurora, John of Phoenix and Jim of Grand Junction; one daughter, Gwen Laine of Arvada; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

■ Vickie Carol Hampton, 63, Clifton, died Aug. 6, 2014, at HopeWest. Private services are planned.
She is survived by one son, Brian of Olathe, Kan.; one daughter, Judi Arnold of Clifton; one brother, Charles Wallace of South Jordan, Utah; two sisters, Vivian Harris of Grand Junction and Tony Benevento of Delta; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
■ William Randall Higgs, 75, died Aug. 2, 2014, on the Grand Mesa. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Mr. Higgs was a dedicated fisherman.
He is survived by one son, Chuck Ledford of Grand Junction; two daughters, Sharon Black and Madeline Pinner, both of Grand Junction; two brothers, Johnny Higgs of Grand Junction and Joe Higgs of California; four sisters, Faye Boyd and Anita Siewert, both of Idaho; Linda Shaw of Washington and Lorna Sleeper of Oregon; eight grandchildren; and, 11 great-grandchildren.
