• Esther J. Jackson, 94, Littleton, died Jan. 27, 2009, at Hallmark Nursing Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction. Burial will be in Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Mickey of Littleton and Lindsey of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

• Justin J. Nye, 32, Grand Junction, died Jan. 30, 2009, at his home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary and one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 8th Ward Chapel. Burial will be in New Elmwood Cemetery.
He was a financial adviser.
Survivors include his parents, James and Carol of Grand Junction; his wife, Emilee; one son, Renn Justin of Grand Junction; one daughter, Kylee Belle of Grand Junction; two brothers, Troy and Travis, both of Grand Junction; and one sister, Natalie of Littleton.

• Louis C. Reynolds, 79, Loma, died Jan. 31, 2009, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Services are pending with Martin Mortuary.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel of Loma and Jim Brumback of Golden; one daughter, Joanna Brumback of Canon City; five brothers, Athol of Washington, Royce of Grand Junction, Duke of Portland, Ore., Ted of Gypsum and Felix of Palisade; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
• Vivan William Short, 85, Eckert, died Jan. 31, 2009, at Horizon Care Center..
Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Delta United Methodist Church.
Mr. Short was a retired assistant chemist for Holly Sugar Plant.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; two daughters, Joan Shockley of Norwood and Pamela Popham of Graham, N.C.; one sister, Avis Cooper of Nucla; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
