■ Helen “Earlynne” Barcus, 81, Crawford, died Jan. 4, 2013, at Paonia Care Center.

A service is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crawford Community United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, Gary of Ventura, Calif., and Marty of Hamilton, Mont.; one daughter, Janie White of Grand Junction; one grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

■ Ronald Duane Barnes, 65, Grand Junction, died Jan. 8, 2013, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

A service is 2 p.m. today at the VA Medical Center’s CLC Dining Room.

Survivors include his parents, Owen and Arlene Barnes; one brother, Gary LaBelle; and one sister, Judith Ausherman.

■ Harold L. Belyeu, 72, died Jan. 5, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.

A service is 11 a.m. Friday at Gospel Ministries Center, 1622 Glenwood Ave. in Grand Junction.

Burial with military honors is 10 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

■ Gordon L. Crow, 74, Fruita, died Jan. 8, 2013, at his residence.

Visitation is 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. A graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita. A service is 11:30 a.m. Friday at HEART of Junction Church.

Mr. Crow was a Port of Entry Officer.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; one son, Darrin Scott of Grand Junction; one daughter, DeeAnna Marie Rightmyer of Henderson, Nev.; one brother, Norman of Littleton; two sisters, Sherry Levesque of Grand Junction and Karen Forrest of Fruita; and four grandchildren.

■ Vicki L. Gearhart, 58, Grand Junction, died Jan. 8, 2013, at her residence.

A service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Herb Gearhart; one son, Alex of San Diego; two daughters, Lindsay A. Gearhart and Kristin N. Gearhart, both of Denver; her mother, Audrey Richardson of Grand Junction; two brothers, Marc Richardson of Aurora and John Richardson of Denver; and one grandchild.

■ William D. Hammett, 71, Cedaredge, died Jan. 6, 2013, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. today at St. Philips Catholic Church in Cedaredge. Interment follows at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Survivors include three brothers, Francis “Bud” of Montrose, Forest “Eddie” of Cedaredge, and Joe; and two sisters, Mary Ann Peterson of Cedaredge and Sue Hainer of Grand Junction.

■ Mary Montaño, 79, Fruita, died Jan. 7, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Visitation is 6 to 7 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery.

Ms. Montaño was a health care aide.

Survivors include two sons, Clarence of Sheridan, Wyo., and Gene of Grand Junction; two daughters, Mary Jo George of Fruita and Angie Ashley of Grand Junction; one brother, Casey Jaramillo of Lasal, Utah; four sisters, Alex Leech of Moab, Utah, Rose Lovato of Green River, Wyo., and Margaret Garcia and Erla Lovato, both of Lasal; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

■ Danny D. Owens Jr., 41, Loma, died Jan. 3, 2013, at home.

A service is 7 p.m. today at Grand Junction First Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Owens was a delivery and pickup driver for YRC.

Survivors include spouse, Jolene; two daughters, Josephene Desiree Ellen Owens and Jessica Renee Lynn Owens, both of Loma; parents, Danny Sr., and Jean Owens of Colorado Springs; three brothers, Ray Owens and Marvin Owens, both of Colorado Springs, and Calvin Gleason of Winnemucca, Nev.; and one sister, Angela Gleason of Winnemucca, Nev.

■ Robert E. Ryan, 52, Fruita, died Jan. 7, 2013, at his residence.

A service is 11 a.m. Monday at Robinson Theatre at Colorado Mesa University.

Mr. Ryan was a professor at Colorado Mesa University.

Survivors include spouse, Debra; one daughter, Candi Armstrong of Fruita; parents, Raymond and Florence Ryan of LaVeta; two brothers, Donnie of Battle Mountain, Nev., and Ronnie of Pueblo West; and one sister, Bonnie Robbee of LaVeta.

■ Donald P. Staten, 88, Cedaredge, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Horizons Care Center in Eckert.

Survivors include spouse, Mary S.; two daughters, Trinette Nelson of Wichita, Kan., and Yvette O’Hara of Golden; one sister, Thelma Pauline Mead of Canada; four grandchildren; and one great-granchild.
