■ Myrtle McDonald-Smith, 95, Grand Junction, died Jan. 26, 2012, at Mesa View Retirement Residence.

The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.

Ms. McDonald-Smith was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Survivors include sons Mike McDonald of Glade Park, Paul McDonald of Fruita, and David McDonald of Grand Junction; daughters Eleanor Martin, Janice Giles, and Phyliss Barslund, all of Grand Junction, and Rita Fairborn of Fresno, Calif.; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

■ Brian Andrew van Lawick, 46, Grand Junction, died Jan. 24, 2012, at his home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Jubilee Family Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church, followed by a reception.
