William Dean Coppers III, 76, Eckert, died Jan. 13, 2011, at Hospice Care Center.

Cremation will take place.

Mr. Coppers was a meat cutter for United Food & Commercial Workers Union.

Survivors include one son,  William D. of Milton, Wis.; two daughters, Vicky L. Lapour and Pamela P. Hazaed, both of Alta Loma, Calif.; two brothers, Jim of Plainfield, Ind., and Ronn of Riverside, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren.

Rita H. Hudgens, 85, Delta, died Jan. 15, 2011, at Horizons Care Center in Eckert.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Taylor Funeral Service in Delta. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Cedaredge, followed by burial at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta.

Survivors include three sons,  Lawrence of Delta, Rodger of Aztec, N.M., and Rex of Grand Junction; two daughters, Wilda Ivey of Eckert and Sharon Meade of South Beloit, Ill.; two brothers, Ray Short of Delta and Don Short of Hotchkiss; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to Rebekah’s Lodge 99, P.O. Box 99, Olathe 81425, or Mount Hayden Rebekah’s Lodge 54, P.O. Box 1043, Ouray 81427.

Jesse James Maddalone, 92, Grand Junction and Lake Havasu City, Ariz., died Jan. 13, 2011, in Lake Havasu City.

Services are pending with Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in Lake Havasu City.

Mr. Maddalone was a retired superintendent of concrete for Peter Kiewit.

Survivors include his wife,  Annie; one son, Jesse Jr.;  one daughter, Marcia; one sister, Ida; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Leta Alberta Magnusson, 87, Grand Junction, died Jan. 16, 2011, at Mesa Manor.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Cemetery in Montrose.

Ms. Magnusson was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son,  David Eugene of Grand Junction; one daughter, Lannea Loranne Borcherdt of Norwood;  seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Roy H. Thye, 79, Grand Junction, died Jan. 15, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Church.

Survivors include his wife,  Ruth Caviness Thye; two sons,  Alan of Kenai, Alaska, and Blake of Grand Junction; one brother, Gerald of Bend, Ore.; one sister, Lois Waller of Grand Junction; and two grandchildren.

Aletta Margaretha Adriana (Kop) Young, 61, Cedaredge, died Jan. 14, 2011, at her family home.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Eckert Presbyterian Church. Private burial will take place at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; one son, Jerry Jr. of Delta; three daughters, Tina Young-Lonquist of Grand Junction, JoYa Young of Cedaredge and Elly Eisenbart of Gunnison; five brothers Dirk Kop of Santa Barbara, Calif., Tony Kop, Jr. of Pagosa Springs, Michael Kop of Cortez and Marcel Kop and Ron Kop, both of Montrose; three sisters, Henny Wiley of Montrose, Nellie Myers of Delta and Carla Kop of Lakewood; and five grandchildren.
