• Former Fruita resident Douglas Eugene Bennetts, 57, Buena Vista, died Jan. 13, 2009.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. today at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Buena Vista. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday in the Buena Vista High School gym. A Mass will conclude services at 4 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Bennetts was a teacher and wrestling coach at Buena Vista High School.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo; four sons, Dustin Eugene of Denver, Matthew Douglas and Blake Thomas, both of Fort Collins, and Corbin Frank of Buena Vista; one daughter,
Carrie Jean of Buena Vista; his mother, Dixie of Fruita; three brothers, Rocky, Jim and Chris, all of Fruita; two sisters, Phyllis Elarton of Grand Junction and Deana Pratt of Denver; and one grandchild.
Memorial contributions to the Buena Vista High School wrestling team or woodshop class.
• Benjamin Borroel, 50, Grand Junction, died Jan. 8, 2009.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Deane of Grand Junction; one brother, James Canaday of Monte Vista; and two sisters, Phyllis Snoddy of Glenwood Springs and Charlotte Morse of Carbondale.

• Bruce L. Earnshaw, 58, Grand Junction, died Jan. 14, 2009, at Hospice Care Center.
Services will take place at a later date in Wyoming.
Mr. Earnshaw was a telecommunications technician.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; one son, Sean Huber of Grand Junction; two daughters, Melissa Holt and Emily Earnshaw, both of Grand Junction; one brother, James of Eagle River, Alaska; two sisters, Peggy Earnshaw-Tanaka of Ames, Iowa, and Susan Hopkins of Seattle; and five grandchildren.

• Thomas J. Flynn, 84, Grand Junction, died Jan. 5, 2009, at Hospice Care Center.
Services will take place at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Mr. Flynn was an attorney.
Survivors include three daughters, Freya Oberer-Brown of Carson City, Nev., Jill Oberer of Fruita and Megan Oberer of Brigham City, Utah; two sisters, Mayreen Johnson of Middletown, N.J., and Joan Ann of Greenacres, Fla.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

• Otis Claude Monger, 84, Eckert, died Jan. 12, 2009, at his home.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Community Christ Church in Eckert.
Mr. Monger was a truck driver for the Rio Grande Motorway and former owner of the Big E Market in Eckert.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; three sons, James of Durango, Richard of Kansas City, Kan., and Bruce of Bayfield; two brothers, Clarence of Bemidgi, Minn., and Bert of Drain, Ore.; four sisters, Margaret Prewett of Dixon, Mo., Marciele Baer of Middleton, Idaho, Helen Williams of Aztec, N.M., and Jewel Workman of Kearns, Utah; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
