Sonia Barnett, 78, Grand Junction, died June 23, 2014, at home.

A service is 10 a.m., today at First Christian Church, 1326 N. First St.

Survivors include one son, Christopher Shaw; and one daughter, Debbie Drumm.

Kenneth A. Boettcher, 54, Whitewater, died June 29, 2014, at Family Health West.

Services are pending with Fruita Funeral Home.

E. Jo Brown, 85, Fruita, died June 26, 2014, at her daughter’s residence in Fruita.

No services are planned at this time.

Mrs. Brown was a Realtor.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest O. of Edwards; one son, Michael of Palisade; four daughters, Cathy Manchee of Grand Junction, Elaine Turnbull of Edwards, Barbara Schumacher of Fruita, and Shoka Tao Breyfogel of Los Angeles; two brothers, Carl “Chicken” Jones of Grand Junction and O. Bruce Jones of Fruita; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Shaw Canteen Center. 

Gerald O. Lachner, 91, Palisade, died June 29, 2014, at his residence.

Services are pending with Palisade Funeral Home.

Mr. Lachner was a major in the U.S. Air Force for 27 years.

Survivors include one son, Gerald L. of Omaha, Nebraska; one daughter, Deborah R. Steele of Palisade; five grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mark A. Mackley, 50, Grand Junction, died June 28, 2014, at Swedish Medical Center.

Services are pending with Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Mr. Mackley was a certified public accountant.

Survivors include father, James W. of Grand Junction and Myrlis Fowler Mackley of Grand Junction; and one brother, James F. of Grand Junction.

Betty Jean Stiers (Singer), 91, Grand Junction, died June 26, 2014, at Colorado State Veterans Home in Rifle.

A service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

Ms. Stiers was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include four sons, Poke of Silt; Mike of Battlement Mesa, Steve of Orlando, Florida, and Tom of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Robert D. “Bob” Tenney, 92, Grand Junction, died June 27, 2014, at HopeWest.

A service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment and concluding services will follow at New Elmwood Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Bob Tenney, Jr. of Grand Junction; two daughters, Dori Jensen of Aurora and Chris Johnson of Berthoud; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Harold Ellwood Wilson, 90, Clifton, died June 26, 2014, at Veteran Affairs Medical Center.

A graveside service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Wilson was in airport security for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Grace; two sons, Gayle Wilson of Oregon and John Leach of Missouri; one daughter, Sharron Davis of Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
