Beverly Ann Bates, 70, Grand Junction, died June 11, 2014, in Grand Junction.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Victory Life Church.

Mrs. Bates loved to share her love.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell; two sons, James of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Roy of Fruita; one daughter, Jane Nelson of Fruita; two sisters, Janice Tucker of Bayfield and Mary Jane Via of Mesquite, Nevada; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cheryl Lynne Burch, 52, Paonia, died June 8, 2014, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Eckert Presbyterian Church in Eckert.

Survivors include her husband, Chuck; her parents, Jim and Carol Vela of Eckert; one brother, J.L. Vela of Eckert; one sister, Cindy Tattershall of Fruita; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to an educational fund for her two grandchildren at any Montrose Bank Center or the North Fork Bank Center.

Lawrence “Smoky” G. Butschle, 79, Grand Junction, died June 7, 2014, at Mantey Heights.

Mr. Butschle was a truck driver.

Survivors include four daughters, Cecila, Martha, Kathrine and Sarah; and one brother, Vincent.

Imogene “Jean” Walker Lewis, 89, Grand Junction, died June 9, 2014, in Montrose.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Old King James Bible Baptist Church in Olathe, followed by burial at Olathe Cemetery.

Survivors include one sister, Ellen of Monte Vista; one sister-in-law, Lois Walker of Gypsum; and two special friends, Leonard Paul and JoAnn Wigner.

Leo Verden Nelson, 93, Loma, died June 10, 2014, in Grand Junction.

A service will be at 12 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Mr. Nelson was a wheat farmer and cemetery supervisor.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Green of Loma and Kathy Wagoner of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one sister, Georgia Martin of Longdale, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to HopeWest Hospice, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction 81506, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
