■ Rita Giannopolos, 91, Grand Junction, died June 8, 2012, in Grand Junction.

Interment at Memorial Gardens is private.

Survivors include her husband, Nick; one son, William; one daughter, Diana Hacker; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

■ Edward Jay, 74, Grand Junction, died June 7, 2012 at Hospice Care Center.

A private service was held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Mr. Jay was an electric maintenance man.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; one son, Gary of Edgewater; one daughter, Sherri Phillips of Granby; one sister, Judith Uttecht of Milliken; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

■ Darlene June Nigo, 72, Grand Junction, died June 10, 2012, at Hospice Care Center.

A potluck memorial service is at 10 a.m. Friday at VFW Post 1247, 1404 Ute Ave.

Survivors include one son, Dale Lucerne of Grand Junction; five daughters, Denise Bashimam of Davenport, Fla., Debbie Cash of Danielsville, Ga., Loree Nigo of Rifle and Mona Gordon and Tamara States, both of Grand Junction; two brothers, Ron Plumb of Montrose and Rodney Plumb of Grand Junction; one sister, Sylvia Duran of Derby, Kan.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

■ Frank LeRoy Roberts, 83, Grand Junction, died June 11, 2012, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

No services will be held.

Mr. Roberts was a pipefitter.

Survivors include one son, James L. Chambers of Clifton; two daughters, Yvonne Cole of Poland, Maine, and Linda Meadows of New Bern, N.C.; one sister, Alice Blew of Madera, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

■ Harold “Hal” Scott, 80, Grand Junction, died June 10, 2012, at Veterans Affairs Community Living Center.

A service with military honors will be at 3 p.m. today at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Scott was a retired insurance claims manager.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen; one son, Steve of Colorado Springs; and one daughter, Susan Scott of Grand Junction.

■ Alvin “Gene” Trout, 83, Grand Junction, died June 11, 2012, at home.

Services will be at a later date in Glenwood Springs.

Mr. Trout was a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy of Batavia, Ill., and Gregory of Grand Junction; three daughters, Terry Ruggles of Alamosa, Brenda Trout Miller of Rifle and Lisa Adams of Glenwood Springs; one sister, E. Fay McCoy of Denver; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
