Charles Steele Burgin, 87, Fruita, died March 13, 2017, in Grand Junction.

Services will take place at a later date.

He was a rancher.

Survivors include two stepsons, Cecil Lawrence Hansen of Salida and Richard Allen Hansen of Montrose; one brother, William Kent Burgin of Fruita; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to the VA Medical Center, designated for the blind and respiratory units, 2121 North Ave., Grand Junction 81501.

Edward J. Currier, 91, Grand Junction, died March 11, 2017, at his home.

Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Clover Cemetery in Collbran.

He was a civil engineer.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret E.; one son, Jim of Grand Junction; three daughters, Lola Childs of Escondido, California, Debbie Oliver of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Alane Currier Griggs of Grand Junction; one sister, Alice Englund of Mobile, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church, 3940 27½ Road, Grand Junction 81506.

Barbara Bond Hill, 82, Grand Junction, died March 6, 2017, at her home.

Services will take place at a later date.

Survivors include two sons, William Charles of Glenwood Springs and John Clark of Denver; one daughter, Lee-Ann Hill of Mancos; one brother, John Clark of Omaha, Nebraska; and four grandchildren.

Merritt L. Vanderhoofven, 75, Grand Junction, died March 11, 2017, at Horizons Nursing Home in Eckert.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

He was an educator.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy J.; two sons, Grady of Lenoir, Tennessee, and Joel of Grand Junction; one daughter, Amy Rice of Grand Junction; one brother, Donald of Delta; two sisters, Donna Schearer of Delta and Boots Buchanan of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to the Special Olympics, 384 Inverness Parkway, Suite 100, Englewood 80112; or to a charity of one’s choice.

Kenneth Woellhof, 63, Fruita, died March 13, 2017, in Fruita.

No services are planned.

He was a Tai Chi instructor.

Survivors include two brothers, Scott of Grand Junction and Phillip of Cheshire, Connecticut; four sisters, Dorothy Mullen of Sarasota, Florida, Patricia Sauvain of Holt, Missouri, June Favre of Fruita, and Pamela Prince of Kamas, Utah.
