Death notices, March 20, 2014

Mary Jane Biesecker, 78, Grand Junction, died March 16, 2014, at HopeWest Hospice.

Services will be at 10 a.m. March 29 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Burial will be at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Lee Biesecker of Grand Junction and Patrick Alan Biesecker of Arizona; two daughters, Rosemarie Ann Sail of Castle Rock, Ariz. and Judith Lynn Beisecker of Grand Junction; one brother, Leslie John “Jack” Kalanquin of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to Hope West and Hospice, 3090B N. 12th St., Grand Junction 81506.

Albert “Skip” Carsten, 69, Grand Junction, died March 14, 2014, at HopeWest Hospice

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Episcopal Church of the Nativity.

Survivors include his wife, Dorette; two sons, Ron of Glenwood Springs and Rick of Basalt; one daughter, Janelle Carsten of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

James “Jim” Maranville, 51, died March 18, 2014, at his home.

Services will be at a later date.

Mr. Maranville was a handyman.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Hessler of Grand Junction; one brother, Mike Maranville of Grand Junction; and two sisters, Penny Zotto of Clifton and Barbara Boden of Cheyenne, Wyo.

Barbara Ann Raymond, 93, Grand Junction, died March 18, 2014, at the Atrium of the Grand Valley.

No services are planned.

■ Former Rifle/New Castle resident Robert E. Shepard, 80,, died March 10, 2014, in San Diego, Calif.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Redlands Recreation Center, 2463 Broadway in Grand Junction.
