■ Bonnie Bateman, 53, Grand Junction, died March 5, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.

Survivors include spouse, Daniel “Cap.”

■ Eugene Albert Cole, 89, Palisade, died March 7, 2013, at Palisades Living Center.

No public services are planned at this time.

Mr. Cole was a television repairman.

Survivors include one son, Conrad Eugene of Grand Junction; one sister, Gloria Brinton of Princeton, Mass.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

■ Julius Leon “Hap” Ellsworth, 68, Fruita, died March 4, 2013, at Porter Hospital in Denver.

Services will be at 1 p.m. March 23 at Canyon View Vineyard Church.

Mr. Ellsworth was a bridge inspector for the state of Colorado.

Survivors include his spouse, Barbara Lee.

■ Shirley V. McCrary, 85, Grand Junction, died March 3, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment is at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Ms. McCrary was vice president of McCrary Construction.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen M. McCrary of Grand Junction; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

■ Lillian “Lill” A. Mertes, 95, Grand Junction, died March 2, 2013, at Hospice Care Center.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service is planned. An open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Mertes’ home.

Survivors include one son, Craig of Eckert; one daughter, Vicki Wood of Keystone; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildre.

■ Bradley Michael Pool, stillborn, died Feb. 28, 2013.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Legacy Funeral Home.

Survivors include his parents, Brittany Gould and Steven Pool; one brother, Nathaniel Sattler; and three sisters, Eva Pool, Kaylee Sattler, and Kaelyn Pool.
