■ Otto W. Armstrong, 88, Grand Junction, died March 5, 2013, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Grand Junction.
A memorial service is planned for March 18 at 4 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Grand Junction.
Mr. Armstrong was a retired rancher and farmer, and was also employed by CSU Extension Service.
He is survived by his companion, Violet Brown; a son Linn of Palisade; a daughter Vickie of Akron, Colo.; a brother Harvey of Silt; and seven grandchildren.

■ Ilia Dawn Derek, 56, died March 6, 2013, in Grand Junction. No formal services are planned.
She is survived by a brother, W.D. Tripp of Yucca, Ariz.; and two sisters, Dona Thompson of Cortez, and Patricia Pecoraro of Jacksonville, Fla.
■ Robert “Bob” M. Pengra, 87, Fruita, died March 7, 2013, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Grand Junction.
A visitation is planned for Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction. A celebration of life is planned for Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fruita United Methodist Church.
Mr. Pengra was a professor.
He is survived by a wife, Lillian; a son Bruce of Fruita; two daughters, Anita Hill of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Mary Devor of East Berlin, Penn.; a brother David of Katy, Tex.; a sister Joy Potter of Burnsville, Minn; 33 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
