■ Betty M. Arnold, 90, formerly of Rifle, died May 16, 2012, at Larchwood Inns in Grand Junction.

A private familyservice is planned later.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Walker of Pennsylvania, Carol Caskey of Arizona and Ann Arnold of Colorado; a son, Don of Alaska; two sisters, Ruth Roberts and Mildred Whitt, both of Colorado; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

■ Lillian O. Brown, 88, Grand Junction, died May 15, 2012, at Mantey Heights Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oddfellow’s section of Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Troy, Ron and Pat; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

■ Melvin L. Hill, 86, Grand Junction, died May 15, 2012, at Hospice Care Center.

Services are pending.

Mr. Hill was a pipeline inspector in the gas industry.

Survivors include four daughters, Tina Hill and Valerie Catt, both of Grand Junction, Linda Aalborg of Highlands Ranch and Janice Deibel of Lodi, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

■ Elma Katherine Nicholls Watkins, 97, Fruita, died May 16, 2012, at Grand View Care Lodge in Grand Junction.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Fruita Middle School auditorium.

Survivors include four sons, Jack of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Chuck of Grand Junction, Jim of Rupert, Idaho, and Harold of Page, Ariz.; two daughters, Paula K. Johnson of Mesa and Linda Soderquist of Olathe; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
