• Dave R. Canaday, 61, Grand Junction, died Nov. 23, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
Mr. Canaday was a professional photographer.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria A.; one son, D’Ray of Grand Junction; and one brother, Bruce of Grand Junction.

• Kenneth Wellington Gillilan, 92, Cedaredge, died Nov. 24, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.
Services are pending.
Survivors include one son, Duane of Clifton; two step-sons, Bill Davis of Longmont, and Glenn Davis of Trinidad; one daughter, Gloria Beasley of Wheat Ridge; four sisters, Jean Cearley of Woodburn, Ore., Norma Mayo of Perry, Ga., Queen Markworth of Tehachapi, Calif., and Ambyr Alldredge of California, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
• Former Delta resident Corrine Alice Harper, 78, Salina, Kan., died Nov. 22, 2008, at Salina Regional Health Center.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Delta Taylor Funeral Service Chapel. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Delta City Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, William Floyd of Salina, Kan., and George Roy of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Marsha Lynn Mecum of Florence, Ky., and Luinda Corrine Hull of Grand Junction; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
• Isabel M. Parks, 81, Rifle, died Nov. 25, 2008, at Family Health West.
Services are pending.
Survivors include one son, Steve of Montrose; one daughter, Nettie Miller of Rifle; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

• William F. “Bill” Porteus, 86, Paonia, died Nov. 24, 2008, in Eckert.
Services are pending.
Survivors include one son, Rod of Yampa; one daughter, Ann Conkle of Loma; one brother, Harry of New York; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

• Virginia Scanlan, 83, Grand Junction, died Nov. 22, 2008, at Community Hospital.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. today at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta.
Mrs. Scanlan was a retired division clerk for Mesa County District Court.
Survivors include one son, Richard of Spokane, Wash.; one daughter, Eve Harris of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
• Delpha Irene Simpson, 91, Grand Junction, died Nov. 23, 2008, at her home.
No services will take place.
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Simpson, and Donna M. White, both of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
• Adeline E. Tripp, 87, Delta, died Nov. 23, 2008, in Montrose.
Services will take place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Martin Mortuary.
Mrs. Tripp was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Chester D.; one son, Chester Jr. of Montrose; two daughters, Joyce Roberts of Paonia and Janice MacFarland of Olathe; one sister, Vivian Garbecky of Plainfield, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
