• Allen Alfred Arnett, 47, Cedaredge, died Nov. 24, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Mesa View Mortuary. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedaredge Assembly of God Church with burial at Mesa View Cemetery.
Mr. Arnett was a correction officer at the Delta Correctional Facility.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn; five daughters, Airin Moots and Tabatha Scriver, both of Grand Junction, Brandi Garcia of Montrose, Tiffany Coville of Beaver, Utah, and Adison Arnett of Cedaredge; two brothers, Earl of Tenants Harbor, Maine, and Darwin of Montrose; and six grandchildren.

• Kenneth Paul Kovacs, 68, Battlement Mesa, died Nov. 24, 2008.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Battlement Mesa Cemetery.
Mr. Kovacs was an electrical engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Marietta; one son, Kenny; two daughters, Kathy Johnson and Lori Kovacs; one brother, Ron; and three grandchildren.

• Former Grand Junction resident Ida Nierman, 87, Lakewood, died Nov. 25, 2008, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home of Lakewood.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction.
Mrs. Nierman was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Ray D. of Cornelia, Ga.; two daughters, Carolyn Marie Bergner of Evergreen and Claudia Johnson of Littleton; three brothers, William Krueger of Valentine, Neb., Jay Dean Krueger of Holyoke and Ben Krueger of Larkspur; two sisters, Laurine Ackerman of Hillsboro, Ore., and Eunice Oltjenbruns of Holyoke; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

• Nettie Van den Heuvel, 92, Grand Junction, died Nov. 24, 2008, at Mantey Heights Care Center.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Mrs. Van den Heuvel was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Neil Jr. of Grand Junction; one daughter, Mary Grant of Grand Junction; one brother, Harry Kettle; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
