■ Former Grand Junction resident Jeff G. Brock, 68, of Anaconda, Mont., died Oct. 9, 2012, at Community Medical Center in Missoula, Mont.

A memorial service will be Friday afternoon at Georgetown Lake near Anaconda, Mont. Contact 7 Gables Resort, (406) 563-5052, for information.

■ Santos Jose Chavez, 12, Delta, died Oct. 7, 2012, at his home.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Delta. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, followed by burial at Mesa View Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Heather and Carlos; one brother, Isaac Christopher; one sister, Sophia Yaneth; maternal grandparents, Joseph Gallegos of Delta and D’Juana Andregg of Parachute; and paternal grandparents, Jose and Tina Chavez of Delta.

■ Ken Cottingham, 51, Grand Junction, died Sept. 30, 2012, in Grand Junction.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 26 at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction.

Mr. Cottingham was a sales representative for Farmers Brothers Coffee.

Survivors include his wife, Shawna, and one daughter, Kayla “Liz.”

■ Sidney “Sid” Fox, 79, Grand Junction, died Oct. 7, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

A private family service will be held.

Mr. Fox was a sales manager for a photographic distributor.

Survivors include his wife, Hermie L.; one son, David of Hoover, Ala.; one daughter, Karen of Berryville, Va.; and two grandchildren.

■ Edna L. Miller, 92, Grand Junction, died Oct. 7, 2012, at Hospice Care Center.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Martin Mortuary, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction.

Mrs. Miller was a teacher for Mesa County Valley School District 51.

Survivors include her husband, Glen; three sons, Ron of Fruita, John of Grand Junction and Dennis of Aurora; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

■ Jose E. Romero, 81, Grand Junction, died Oct. 1, 2012, at Palisade Living Center.

A memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by inurnment at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Mr. Romero was a farm worker in a peach orchard.

Survivors include four daughters, Pauline Sisneros, Angie Sawyer, Alma Bera and Bernice Bera, all of Grand Junction; two brothers, Eloy of Las Vegas, Nev., and Polino of Santa Barbara, Calif.; two sisters, Tillie Valiro and Elaina Tafoya, both of Taos, N.M.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

■ Martha Jane Sauer, 85, Palisade, died Oct. 8, 2012, at The Retreat at Palisade.

A viewing will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Bayfield, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Bayfield Cemetery.

Ms. Sauer was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Bruce of Palisade; two daughters, Rita of Union, N.J., and Judy Jehl of Palisade; one sister, Betty Abernathy of Bayfield; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

■ Frank Milton Wallace, 81, Grand Junction, died Oct. 6, 2012, at the Grand Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grand Junction.

Mr. Wallace was a retired Navy SEAL, teacher and football coach.

Survivors include his wife, LaVera R.; one daughter, Pamela of California; and a brother, Charles of Washington.
