■ John Bertroch, 99, Palisade, died Sept. 30, 2012, at Palisade Living Center.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Palisade Funeral Home chapel, followed by interment at Palisade Municipal Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Alden of Glade Park; three daughters, Loyette of Palisade, Alexis “Annie” Struble of Clifton and Alveda Mayne of Palisade; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

■ Donald Wilson Bowles, 79, Grand Junction, died Sept. 28, 2012, at Hospice Care Center.

No formal service is planned.

Mr. Bowles created and opened the Central Book Exchange in 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Shelly; three daughters, Cindy Pierce of Price, Utah, Kelly Gusich of San Diego and Kirby Richardson of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
