■ Former Grand Junction resident, Theresa Lee Collett, 92, Pine, died Sept. 7, 2017, at her granddaughter’s home in Pine.

Services have taken place.

She was an accountant.

Survivors include one son, William of Angola, Indiana; one daughter, Jacque Collett of St. Louis, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren.

Jeanne W. Covey, 93, Grand Junction, died Sept. 9, 2017, at Mantey Heights Living Center.

Private services will take place.

She worked for the Grand Valley Rural Power Co.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Hunt and Candy Brodel, both of Grand Junction; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Janet Lynn Gallwas, 76, Grand Junction, died Sept. 4, 2017.

Services will take place at a later date.

She was a grocery checker.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie D. Karschnik; one son, Brian of Tacoma, Washington; one daughter, Theresa Eley of Steilacoom, Washington; two sisters, Carole Collier of Mariposa, California, and Adele Goldman of San Francisco; and two grandchildren.

Walter Melott, 92, Fruita, died Sept. 8, 2017, at HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.

Services will take place at a later date in Oklahoma.

He was an assistant superintendent in the oil and gas industry.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Merry; two sons, Chuck Pinner of Palisade and Michael Melott of Aztec, New Mexico; three daughters, Patsy Lassiter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Donna Luckey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ruby Wilson of Mexia, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

JoAnn Morgan, 78, Grand Junction, died Sept. 9, 2017, at her home.

Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Heritage Church.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Steve and Duane, both of Thornton, and Rick of Grand Junction; one daughter, Sandra deGanahl of Fruita; one brother, Sam Allen of Palisade; one sister, Barbara Likes of Cortez; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

Perfecto C. Rivera, 86, Grand Junction, died Sept. 4, 2017, at his son’s home in Gypsum.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was a track foreman for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad.

Survivors include six sons, Benny, Philip and David Madrid, all of Gypsum, Perfecto C. Jr. of Salida, Steve of Grand Junction, and Mario Madrid of Penasco, New Mexico; three daughters, Ruby Schultz of Gypsum, Brunilda Butters of Eagle, and Lorraine Granlund of New Castle; three sisters, Gabina Madrid and Sinfer Gomez, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Reyes Manzanarez of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one brother, Sergio Rivera of Santa Fe; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
