■ Violet Duckworth, 103, Grand Junction, died Sept. 17, 2012, at her home.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Mortuary. A service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Martin Mortuary. A chapel burial follows at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include three sons, Robert of Mead, Donald of Joplin, and Tom of Grand Junction; one daughter, Rhona Donigan of El Reno Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

■ Joanie Darlene Haralson, 74, Fruita, died Sept. 19, 2012, in Grand Junction.

A service is 2 p.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Burial follows at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.

Ms. Haralson was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Gene Wilson, Gerald Dee Stephens and Jay Vernon Haralson, all of Fruita; one daughter, Tammy Darlene Warnke of Grand Junction; three brothers, Johnny B. Gray of Eager, Ariz., Scott D. Gray and John D. Gray, both of Fruita; two sisters, Betty Gray of Arizona and Patty Stephens of California; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

■ Max D. Jones, 80, Fruita, died Sept. 20, 2012, at Family Health West.

No service is planned.

Mr. Jones was a janitor for The Daily Sentinel.

■ Donald Van Matre, 34, Grand Junction, died Sept. 12, 2012, in Fruita.

No services are planned.

Mr. VanMatre was a cook.

Survivors include his parent, Mary Cruthers; three brothers, Lloyd Cruthers of Grand Junction, David Cruthers of Westminster, and Mark Cruthers of Lafayette; and one sister, Shannon Cruthers of Rifle.
