Wilbur Lee Jewell, 86, Grand Junction, died Oct. 18, 2011, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Grand Junction.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Heritage Church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; one son, Jerry Kappler of Denver; one daughter, Nancy Fenty of Grand Junction; two sisters, Jeane Doncaster of Sutter Creek, Calif. and Ruth Jewell of Bremerton, Wash.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
