George R. Beckman, 81, Grand Junction, died Feb. 8, 2011, at Aspen Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Martin Mortuary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

Mr. Beckman was a machinist.

Survivors include one son, Karl of Grand Junction; one daughter, Kimberly Stanley of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Michael H. Gandy Sr., 79, Clifton, died Feb. 8, 2011, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Gandy was a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary L. of Clifton; two sons, Mark H. of Grand Junction and Michael H. Jr. of San Diego; two stepsons, Andy Russell of Glenwood Springs and Clemens Russell of New Jersey; one daughter, Kathy Germano of Rifle; one stepdaughter, Tammy Russell of Palisade; one brother, Timothy T. of Florida; two sisters, Mary Ann Knight and Daphne Tompkins, both of Texas; and three grandchildren.

Odell Gray, 94, Grand Junction, died Feb. 7, 2011, at La Villa Grande Care Center.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, Alvis of Texas; one daughter, Joyce Cotton of Grand Junction; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John “Jack” Nilson, 84, Grand Junction, died Feb. 9, 2011, at his home.

Services will be 3 p.m. Feb. 19 at Crossroads United Methodist Church.

Mr. Nilson was a real estate appraiser.

Survivors include one son, Scott of Grand Junction; three daughters, Kathe Natelborg of Grand Junction, Beverly Prosser of Kansas City, Mo., and Marilyn Rohlas of Elizabeth; one sister, Joyce Brower of Longmont; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Mae Verzuh, 88, Grand Junction, died Feb. 9, 2011, at Hospice Care Center.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Gunnison City Cemetery.

Ms. Verzuh worked in cosmetology sales.

Survivors include one son, Jay of Grand Junction; two daughters, Patty Montgomery of Spring Creek, Nev., and Christine Verzuh of Grand Junction; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
